The Cass County Visitors Bureau recently conducted an intense Signage Assessment Program for Logansport and Cass County. Way-finding signage would enable visitors to more easily navigate county venues such as parks and attractions, and locate the various activities throughout Cass County. Way-finding signage is common in cities, commercial areas and sites of major attractions but according to Richard Golber, president of Guidance Pathway Systems, this would be the first plan in Indiana that encompasses the county as well as the cities and towns.
The Executive Committee, the Site Planning Committee and the Design Committee gave 20-30 hours of their time to work with community members and Guidance Group, Inc. to complete a sign placement plan and sign design. Guidance Group will compile all the data provided through the assessment and present their comprehensive plan in five to six weeks. Committee members were Stan Williams, Linda Klinck, Jan Fawley, Gordon Southern, Kathy Dingo, Julian Pugh, Eileen Slifer, Shane Hanna, Brian Shafer, Kathy Adair, Jodi Coblentz, Michelle Laird, Chelsea Birnell, Shannon Carmen, Toni Savini, Don Crain and Gary Scagnoli assisted by the staff at the Logansport City Building.
