Established in 1828, Cass County is comprised of Logansport, Galveston, Onward, Royal Center, Walton, Adamsboro, Anoka, Clymers, Deacon, Dunkirk, Georgetown, Hoover, Kenneth, Lake Cicott, Lewisburg, Lincoln, Lucerne, Metea, Miami Bend, Mount Pleasant, New Waverly, Potawatomi Point, Twelve Mile and Young America. Logansport, the largest city in the County, is situated on the confluence of Wabash and Eel rivers.

Cass County has a very rich history. Once an important trade route owing to the Michigan Road, Wabash-Erie Canal and the railroads, it was also a part of the early automotive history of Indiana – namely Bendix and ReVere. While the automobile boom ended in early 1900s, our story doesn’t end there. In a world of constant changes, we have stood the test of time. We have been continuously evolving, and we are proud of our history. The early leaders were entrepreneurs who were dreamers and wanted to make this a unique place to live in. That dream still lives on in the heart of the residents of the cities, towns and farms of Cass County.

There are various shopping centers that offer an eclectic variety of locally made items as well as name brands. If you are a history buff, then step back in time while you visit the museums. See artifacts from past eras ranging from dresses, train memorabilia, medical instruments, etc. Relive your childhood as you try to grab the brass ring while taking a ride on one of the three existing hand carved and painted stationary Dentzel carousels in the country. Looking to pamper yourself? We have a variety of spas and salons. Our dining options include American, Mexican, Guatemalan, Chinese, Thai cuisines, to name a few, or perhaps you just want to skip a meal and go straight to dessert (we don’t judge!). There are quite a few places famous for ice cream. From hotels, bed & breakfasts to camping grounds, there are various lodging options in the County. From a glacier lake, prime eagle viewing locations, historic State Theatre, trails, golfing and so much more, Cass County has something to offer for everyone.
